What is the concept of this site: This site is different than almost all other resume banks because it is an 'exchange', or a self-growing community database. This means that new resume pages are entered into the site by anyone and everyone (usually recruiters and employers). Likewise, although this site is free to use, in order to search for resumes you'll need to share some resume URLs (web addresses) that you've found on the web. For each resume page that you input into this site, you'll get back 30 resumes that match your keyword and geographic search criteria. Remember, each time that you enter a new resume on this site, you'll be helping to build this fantastic resource that's free for everyone!
Inputting Resume URLs (sharing resumes): Just prior to each time that you use this site, we recommend that you find between 10 and 50 resume URLs on the web that you could paste into our site. Have these URLs ready in Notepad or MS Word so that you can easily access them when you visit our site Think of these 10 - 50 resume URLs as 'tokens' at a carnival or casino; each time that you do a search on our site - you'll enter one of these tokens (resume URLs) to get back a list of 30 resumes. If you have a number of resume URLs ready in a text editor (like Notepad), you'll be ready to quickly cut&paste and interact with our site. You'll want to have plenty of extra tokens (URLs) ready because our site may reject any resume pages that are already in our database.
Where to find Resume URLs: It may seem like a 'catch-22' that you came to our site looking for resumes and you end up needing to enter resumes just to search the site! The truth is, it is very easy to find resumes on the Internet and there are many sources for them, although most of these sources do not provide as many search-features as our site (such as geographic search). One great place to find resume pages is on the Internet search engines. You'll find resumes easily on any internet search engine by searching for keywords like "resume". Better yet, you can more efficiently find resumes on search engines by typing in exact phrases that are common to resumes - like "references available upon request" or "Experience Summary" or "Bachelors of Science". If you are a recruiter, you probably already have your own database of resumes. Often job seekers will mention their own resume URL on their text or Word DOC resume. These can be another great source for finding resume URLs that can be shared with our site. The only resume URLs that we will NOT accept are those with the name of commercial job sites in the URL. We will also not accept those where the owner has asked to have his resume remain confidential (often the resume will indicate this). If you enter an unacceptable resume, our system will simply reject it with a friendly "we can't accept that resume" message, and you can then go back and try entering another page instead.
Tips for searching this site: This site has a sophisticated 'boolean' search engine that allows you to look for resume pages using multiple keywords or phrases. Here are some examples for use with our keyword box to achieve a narrowed-down list of resumes that targets your needs. Keep in mind that this search engine is not case sensitive and so it does not matter if you enter capital letters or lower case letters. Also, do NOT type in quotes or "+" signs.
